Background
Dr. Leon’s passion for dentistry began during her teenage years when she experienced extensive dental and orthodontic treatment. Her life was forever changed by the care and treatment of the experienced dentists and orthodontists that worked so hard to help improve her life.
Through her own smile transformation, she fell in love with the world of dentistry and discovered that she wanted to make it her career.
After graduating high school, Dr. Leon attended the University of Central Oklahoma where she played on the women’s soccer team and studied both biology and chemistry. She then attended Rose State College and received a degree in Dental Hygiene. She had the privilege of working as a Dental Hygienist in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area for four years before returning to dental school.
Dr. Leon attended the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry and received her doctoral degree in 2016. She worked as an associate dentist for two years, and is now the proud owner of Lakeside Family Dentistry.
Philosophy
Dr. Leon has always treated patients like family. She provides honest, quality dental treatment to every patient. She strives to provide a level of care that mirrors the compassion, detail, and artful results of the dentists that changed her life as a teenager. The people she and her team care for daily are more than just patients; they are individuals with personalities, families, goals, and dreams.
No two patients are ever the same, and that is why this individualized approach for each person is so important. These treatment philosophies have brought happiness and smiles to the people she treats every day at Lakeside Family Dentistry!
Legacy
Lakeside Family Dentistry was created by Dr. Leon in 2018. She is carrying on the legacy of quality, honest dentistry in the heart of Oklahoma City. She has created a relaxing, upscale environment that provides quality dental care. While the original office has been open since 1968, she has made it her own and has taken the brand into new and exciting territory, forging her own legacy within its walls.
Dr. Leon is constantly improving as a person and a dentist to help deliver on her promise of providing top quality dentistry that is also fair and reasonable. She stays current on all the latest technology in her field and spends hundreds of hours each year at continuing education courses learning the newest treatments available. Lakeside Family Dentistry’s brand is about giving people the best oral healthcare available, and that requires constant study, development, and personal growth—all of which she embodies and embraces.
Family
Dr. Leon spends her free time with her husband, John, and their three children, Eliana, Trey, and Livie. She and her family love participating in outdoor sports and activities, including boating on the lake and visiting the beach in the summer. When the weather gets cold, she loves staying active and goes snow skiing several times a year.
